Tuesday 16 December 2025

Polynom B.V. has acquired the monumental church building with adjoining episcopal residence located at Schipholweg 641 in Lijnden. The transaction concerns a sale-and-leaseback structure, under which Wortell will remain a long-term tenant of the property.

The distinctive building, originally constructed in 1859, has been carefully transformed over time into a modern office environment while preserving its historic character. The former church and episcopal residence have been redeveloped into high-quality office space with respect for their monumental status. The property holds an Energy Label A+ rating and is officially designated as a listed monument. The total lettable floor area amounts to approximately 1,259 sqm, complemented by 48 on-site parking spaces.

The building combines historic grandeur with contemporary functionality. The office accommodation is divided into two parts: the former church, which now includes workspaces, meeting rooms, and pantry facilities, and the adjacent episcopal residence, which has also been converted into modern office space. This unique location offers an inspiring working environment in a strategic position near Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, within the municipality of Haarlemmermeer.

Polynom B.V. was commercially advised by TREC during the transaction, technically advised by C2N, and legally represented by Core Notariaat. On behalf of the seller, JLL and investment manager Uptown acted as advisors. The seller also received technical advice from Amstelius and legal counsel from Hemwood.
